The Lt Governor of Tennessee said something that made me realize he may be onto something. It is something everybody is thinking about in the back of their minds, but don’t want to be the first to say it out loud. (Well some of us have- repeatedly.)
Responding to a mass shooting at an Oregon community college that left 10 people dead, Tennessee Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey on Friday encouraged fellow Christians who are serious about their faith to consider getting a gun.
Ramsey, R-Blountville, made those remarks in a Facebook post Friday, one day after a shooting at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Ore., left 10 people dead. The suspect, 26-year-old Chris Harper Mercer, reportedly asked victims to name their religious affiliation during the massacre.
In his Facebook post, Ramsey links to a New York Post article with the headline “Oregon gunman singled out Christians during rampage.” Ramsey groups the Oregon shooting with other recent mass shootings in the nation. “Whether the perpetrators are motivated by aggressive secularism, jihadist extremism or racial supremacy, their targets remain the same: Christians and defenders of the West,” Ramsey said.
“While this is not the time for widespread panic, it is a time to prepare,” he later adds. “I would encourage my fellow Christians who are serious about their faith to think about getting a handgun carry permit. I have always believed that it is better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it.
“Our enemies are armed. We must do likewise.”
Of course he’s been getting some blow black, but he’s right. Again, he is right. There is a war brewing between Islam and Christianity. Sadly, most Christian nations aren’t anymore- thanks to the generations of communist and socialist infiltration. But those faithful that are left find themselves smack dab in the middle of another Crusade, this time the Muslims are pushing against Western civilizations, which by and large are first world nations.
To ask for the infection to come to the host is suicidal. I’m not saying every Muslim in bad, but I am saying if you are going to start vetting people before you let them in, that is a good place to begin. Especially in 2015, when we have stirred up a hornet’s nest, and by our inability to remain decisive, shown the weakness people who are attracted to fundamental and violent Islam like to take advantage of. This is a case of blinking in front of a psycho bully and him realizing he has us.
As we speak, many ISIS members are embedding themselves within the refuges Obama wants to bring here, to the tune of hundreds of thousands. No way any government can vet that number. So any claim they have is a bald faced lie- one of many this crew in charge have told.
So, in the end, we’ll be set up to be harmed, by our own government, at the hands of people- who by their religious edicts- demand we either submit or die, and hope we chose the latter.
So, in the light of that reality, I suggest you arm up and get ready. Some idiot pulls a gun and yells “Allah Akbar” it may be best to just shoot him in the noggin before he gets out another word.
If you made a mistake, it would be an understandable one to say the least. If he is just some unstable guy looking for his fifteen minutes of fame, well he got it, and you still don’t have a body count.
Point here is be ready. If not ready, get ready and then be ready. Get your CCW, pick a functional safe weapon you can shoot, visualize what you might do if you are facing trouble, and practice so if you are forced to act you don’t miss.
And hope you never have to take action. Live for peace, prepare for war.
